The window that appears to us in this case will show us a message asking that write an administrator password to continue with what we were trying to do in the team. In other words, this makes us think that the system has more than one administrator user and that our user account no longer has administrative permissions.
Steps to take if our administrator account does not have permissions in Windows 10
In this case, what we are going to do to try to solve the problem is restart the computer by holding down the Shift key until a screen with blue background and several options appears. There we have to select the option Start configuration, but if it does not appear, click on the link at the bottom See more options
Now we enter the boot settings and in the next screen we will see an options menu. In this case, we select the option 4 Enable safe mode and therefore, we will see how the system will restart in safe mode. It is important that we connect with our administrator account.
Once we have started the system completely in Safe Mode, we must then open the User Accounts window, which we can easily do by running the command. netplwiz from a Windows 10 Run window, Win + R.
On this screen, we select our user administrator and the one that seems to have lost the permissions in Windows 10 and click the button properties. This will open our user's Properties window, where we should select the tab Group membership and make sure we mark the option Administrator. Finally, we apply and accept so that the changes are saved and we reboot the system.
When you ask us to login to Windows, we select our administrator account, enter the password and we can try again what we were trying to do and the team did not leave us for lack of permissions in Windows 10 with our administrator account. If all goes well, we should no longer have problems running a task requiring administrator permissions.
