President Trump Receives a Beautiful Letter from Kim Jong-Un
What happened? The relationship between President Trump and Kim Jong-Un continued last week with a press conference during which everyone discussed a very special letter, a letter that had clearly led the president to distraction.
What Really Has happened: As all those who have paid attention to it know, the connection between President Donald Trump and Kim Jong-Un are surprisingly close given the historically difficult relationship between the United States and North Korea. Trump has talked about fall in love with the North Korean leader, which led to hopes for a denuclearizationeven when the second Mountain peak completed in the beginning and wrong earlier this year. And then, last week, this it's gone
Yes, it's the president dizzy speak about a letter of the North Korean leader, as if it were a note of love addressed to an anxious teenager. It was weird, but is not it weird the new normal now? Perhaps we should simply appreciate the closeness of their friendship, especially since the alternative could be much worse.
Yet some could not help but wonder at the surprise of all this.
But what was in the letter? Oh, it was a thing in itself, as it turned out.
The current story is even stranger, in that Kim's brother, Kim Jon-Nam, was murdered in 2017 for request of, it's his, North Korea. (The two women leaders said that they were deceived in their actions by North Korea). So, Trump literally announces to the world that he would protect someone who would kill his own brother even though the CIA wanted to gather information about a foreign enemy. This seems … worrying. Surely someone can clear this up.
With respect to other topics related to North Korea and the United States, addressed by the President, I have did not manage those so wellno more.
It must have been a letter.
The takeaway sale: At least some people asked the important questions.
When Donald sits with George …
What happened? The President of the United States went on ABC News to remind voters that he was happy to do all that was necessary to get elected.
What Really Has happened: With all his ongoing claims of "Fake News!" so it's no surprise that the president has avoided interviews with media that do not carry the Fox News name. Last week, however, I had sitting with George Stephanopoulos from ABC News for a conversation, and it's fair to say that the interview contained a real moment of news.
But there is more than that. Trump has, uh, apparently thought about that?
In other words, people were dismayed.
It was not that those left contradicting Trump on this issue either.
And then there was the president of the FEC establishing the rules very clearwhile emphasizing how surreal she was.
Trump tried to explain himself on Twitter the next day, to make matters worse.
Ignore the obvious line "I would never be trusted again" because foreign diplomats are waiting for everything that is said to the president to be confidential. In addition, is the president not supposed to be loyal to the United States, not he does not trust him?
And, for those who were wondering if there would be something in his past that the president would reveal was not quite true, there were some.
The takeaway sale: The fact that the majority of elected Republicans have kept silent on this topic before the president corrects the account by completely reversing himself also did not go unnoticed during this week.
The dramatic return of Kellyanne Conway
What happened? Even for some people named by Trump, it turns out that is a limit to everything that a person can get before having to be held responsible, which is bad news for someone who has waaaaay exceeded this line.
What Really Has happened: Really, before last week, it was too long for Trump advisor Kellyanne Conway to hit the headlines for a reason other than to be married to a Trump vocal critic. Remember the days she had tell people to buy Ivanka Trump's merchandise or free rotation to distract the press? Remember the classic Kellyanne? It turns out that the Office of the Special Council does that.
Indeed, the OSC recommended Conway be removed of federal service for she say again violations of the hatching To act. Damn it, it's obviously a partisan coup and wait, who put this guy in charge of investigations of the Bureau of the special councils?
If this seems to be a big problem, it's because … is.
It is probably fair to say that Conway has answered most of the people expected of her.
Other political figures, however, were not so tolerant:
So, what's next? Who would be responsible for returning Conway?
Indeed, the White House lawyer is of the opinion that the question is something special in itself.
Does this mean that Conway can not stay hooked anymore? Maybe not.
Yet at least his job is safe, as president said on Fox News.
The takeaway sale: We'll just leave that here.
The dramatic departure of Sarah Huckabee Sanders
What happened? While President Trump was at the center of attention in the middle of the week, it was time for a sacrificial lamb to be thrown to the crowd as a distraction technique. Sorry, Sarah.
What Really Has happened: As is clear from the above, what started as a relatively quiet week for Trump when we headed for the second half turned into a nightmare. What was clearly needed was a distraction from all this bad news. In the beginning, it seemed like it would be war with IranHowever, at the beginning of Thursday afternoon, the President offered a totally different, and much more unexpected, distraction from everything that was happening.
Yes, the current press secretary of the White House to take off of the position by the end of the month, without replacement currently named. It's the end of an era, of course, but how will Sanders be remembered? Twitter immediately jumped to action to answer this question.
In addition, the departure of Sanders was an important step for the Trump administration.
It's a big problem for just three years, is not it? I mean, it really gives something impressive, and it makes you almost impatient for the days when Sean Spicer was moving away or Anthony Scaramucci was fired. Do you remember Anthony Scaramucci? How could we have forgotten the Mooch? But that's enough about the ghosts of Trump Administration Mouthpieces Past; What's next for Sanders? Once again, Twitter had some ideas.
Interestingly, other people involved seem to have … other ambitions for a post-White House SHS.
The takeaway sale: Think of all the lost opportunities for Sanders now that she comes out of the nest so early …
Combat! Combat! Combat!
What happened? There have been many classic clashes throughout the history of humanity: David vs. Goliath, Achilles vs. Hector, Ali vs. Frazier, Batman v. Superman: the dawn of justice … But last week, the possibility of something even more epic made its way and inspired the world.
What Really Has happened: Let's finish on something that looks like a high note. Or, at least, an idiot. What would be the least obvious meeting of celebrities you could imagine? bzzt. You are wrong, because Justin Bieber has one even more unlikely than I shared on Twitter.
Unsurprisingly, some people wanted to help make this fight a reality. (Seriously, did not Bieber see the Impossible mission movies? It would not end well for him.)
Unfortunately, all this was not useful, like Bieber later admitted J & # 39; I was just to joke. Let's be honest, I just realized how much he would lose. This was not the end of the question, however, because Justin had, as it turned out, inspired people with hisuh … bravery?
The takeaway sale: Things should not end like this. In another world, the climax was much happier.
