The Windows 10 May 2019 Update Will Make the Start Menu Faster and More Stable
The Windows 10 Start menu will undergo several changes and improvements. Among these changewe will see how we now bet on a single column design for new installed applications instead of the previous two-column design. In addition, it will be possible to uninstall more applications directly with the right button of the Start menu without having to access the Configuration menu.
Another improvement related to ease of use It is now possible to eliminate entire groups of applications from the Start menu. Right-click on the group name and click "Disconnect Start Menu Group". However, we will also have "invisible" enhancements for users in the Windows 10 May 2019 update.
One of these improvements is the one we are dealing with in this article. Basically, we know that the Windows Start menu now will have an independent process called StartMenuExperienceHost.exe. Until now, the Windows 10 Start Menu depended on the Windows Explorer. If anything affects the browser process, the speed and reliability of the Start menu may be affected. This new process is now loaded from C: Windows SystemApps Microsoft.Windows.StartMenuExperienceHost_cw5n1h2txyewy.
