Punctual observation is essentially an endurance sport, so you need to be sure to be prepared. After all, if you are going to look You Until your eyes fall (recommended), why not make the experience as pleasant as possible?
It means paying attention to the conditions in which you look: the couch, the temperature, the vibrations and (especially) the snacks.
Some good tips:
- 1 1. Assemble your snacks before the binge-watch starts
- 2 2. Do not leave less than three glasses in front of you at all times
- 3 3. Get up every hour to stretch yourself
- 4 4. Consider the two-pronged approach
- 5 5. Consider your spine
- 6 6. If you are watching a heavy theme show, take more breaks.
- 7 7. Open a window
- 8 8. Send text messages to people about what you are watching
- 9 9. Change position
- 10 10. respect the air
1. Assemble your snacks before the binge-watch starts
To really maximize your experience, I recommend choosing a salty snack, a sweet snack and a snack with a blank card. Some suggestions from my colleagues, whose tastes range from the biggest to the really awful:
- Sno-Caps in the popcorn
Plain Lay Chips and Greek Yogurt
Chocolate coated pretzels
Corn soufflé with olive oil from Trader Joe
Literally a ham and cheese sandwich dipped in orange juice (cursed)
Celery and peanut butter
Peanut butter straight out of the jar
Note: You can always under-pizza in any category (or all three).
2. Do not leave less than three glasses in front of you at all times
One of the drinks should be water. For the other two, I like to choose a great beverage, such as Gatorade or, if I feel brave, Seltzer, as well as a sophisticated little beverage, such as a San Pellegrino with blood orange. . finish the lemonades with cursive letters on the bottle.
3. Get up every hour to stretch yourself
You do not have to take a full yoga class, but it's nice to remind your body that it's capable of movement.
4. Consider the two-pronged approach
I have radiators in my apartment and I do not control my own heat, which means that sometimes my living room measures 1,000 degrees. It's too hot. If I open the window, however (see # 7), it is too cold. That's why I'd rather have two blankets near me when I binge-watch: a thick blanket for cold weather and a thinner cotton blanket for the mean times. During warm periods, I do not use blankets at all.
5. Consider your spine
If you have to bring a pillow on the couch to support the back, so be it. If you experience binge eating in bed, consider getting a pillow. Maybe a … with a cup holder?
6. If you are watching a heavy theme show, take more breaks.
There is certainly no shame in seeing binge eating, but may have side effects about your mental health – especially if the show you choose deals with emotionally charged topics. In these cases, give yourself a few more breaks than you normally would. We do not say go outside (Imagine!), but maybe do some more stretching, check with your friends and drink some extra water.
7. Open a window
Let your frenzied farts (different from ordinary farts) fly freely into the atmosphere.
8. Send text messages to people about what you are watching
if you do not have a hyperphagia partner literally sitting next to you, it can be fun to write the show live with a hyper-observer colleague in another place. It also reminds you that you have friends. Crucial!
What you should not do, however, is to send texts on the show to someone who has not seen it all yet. Avoid committing this crime of friendship at all costs.
9. Change position
When you have a nest, you have a nest, so there is no need to change rooms. But alternating between sitting and lying down, or even lying on the other end of the sofa, can be quite enjoyable. After all, lying in a second place is a fun way to lie down.
10. respect the air
If you chose really Good snacks (and also have the couch for six hours), the room can start to smell a little … rank. It is then that it is time to light a candle.
On the chance Gilmore Girls is your binge-watch, there is a Gilmore Girls candle designed to burn in tandem with the rebirth of 2016. There are also Strange thingsthemed candles. Or you can just burn an ordinary one. It's your binge watch, after all!
